Best Album in 2008: Brian Wilson - 'That Lucky Old Sun'

In my opinion, Brian Wilson's 'That Lucky Old Sun'. I was excited to hear about it's release and I went right out and bought the album, and I also got a 7" (45 rpm) promo single of 'Midnight's Another Day' b/w 'That Lucky Old Son' and 'Morning Beat' ... the promo single on transparent orange vinyl, with nice artwork on the sleeve. The album was released on CD and LP, though I've only got the CD. I will buy the LP version later on. The album is total California life. It remininces on Brian's past in California, as well as his mental instabilities. It features narratives recited by Brian, while the words were written by Van Dyke Parks.

Recommended Songs - "Forever She'll Be My Surfer Girl"... it features Brian Wilson back in top form with his popular falsetto. "Midnight's Another Day"... a song in which Brian sings about his past instabilities, drug abuse, and mental instabilities and in-capabilities. "Going Home" ... a nice mainstream rocker.
