Back in 1979, after catching his wife, Marilyn, in bed with his former body guard/minder, Brian Wilson left the house without any identification and money, and hitch hikeed to San Diego, where he went into a gay bar and played Beach Boys hit songs in return for free beer.
He ended up in a mental institution for a third time, because of this incident... where he met a large black woman, named Carolyn. She had like four children and some dogs. Later on, in 1983, when Eugene Landy was Brian's doctor again, they had to get rid of her as she supplied him with drugs and food (he was 350 lbs). Well, so he goes off to Hawaii with Landy and his crew, and the movie ET comes out. The Beach Boys, his family, and Brian's now ex-wife, Marilyn, all knew he was going to Hawaii. But Carolyn didn't. She reported him kidnapped! Since the movie ET was out, one headline in a California celebrity magazine read "Brian Wilson, please phone home!!!" ... in fact, Brian lost like 100 lbs within three months and got to perform in Hawaii with The Beach Boys again, and Carolyn was in the city somewhere proclaiming "Brian Wilson is my man! I've been saving myself for him! My body is all his to use!" ... LoL.
